Free Music: Marianas Trench's "Fallout" -- Song of the Day
Marianas Trench have created one of those lovesick love songs that will surprise you in how energetic it actually sounds. Between their tight harmonies, steady beats, and that slight tinge of electro-pop, they're able to create some serious momentum, despite the fact they're singing about intense heartbreak. The song comes from the band's new album, Ever After, appropriately named after its fairytale concept. Lead guitarist Matt Web explains, "Ever After is a concept album that is designed to be listened to from start to finish. It takes the listener on a journey from daily life, to inside an enchanted world, and helps them back home again at the end. We wanted the album to have a fairy tale theme and what better way to sum it up? 'Ever After' is the last line of every fairy tale, however, it's up to the fans to interpret what comes before it when they listen to this record." Watch your back, Disney.
