If you're already craving the weekend, this new single from pop/rock quartet Neighborhood Kids is for you. "'Lockdown' is about a long and wacky night George had in NYC last year," explains drummer John Damiano, who you may recognize from his previous work in past project Floral Terrace. With its electro-infused instrumentations, soaring boy/girl harmony parts, sparkling melodies, and pop aesthetic, this song exudes the sort of feel-good, love drunk quality reserved for Saturday nights you'll never forget.

This tune's also packing in a guest appearance from AJ Perdomo of The Dangerous Summer. "As a friend and fan of AJ's band, weve been wanting to collaborate with him for a while and that's how he wound up on this," continues John. Making it a true affair between friends, the band also enlisted a few more names to help deliver the golden track you're spinning now. "We had our longtime friend John Naclerio (Every Avenue, the Audition, Just Surrender) mix the song down and we did drums at Rob Freemans (Phone Calls From Home, Gym Class Heroes, Hit The Lights)."

The song comes off their forthcoming new album, Get Dumb, out October 11. Give it  a spin and grab it as a free download for a limited time.
