Free MP3: Bright Matter's "The Escape" + "inhale:exhale" — Song of the Day
Bright Matter's intergalactic blend of electro instrumentals and ambient moods have resurfaced in the form of two new singles, "inhale: exhale" and "The Escape," both of which are available as free downloads. "The Escape" has been released as a sequel to the artists' last single, "Astronaut," while "inhale:exhale" is the result of a two-day writing and mixing project that yielded release-worthy sounds. It also takes a break from dreamy imaginings to showcase an introspective side very much grounded in reality.
"It's about how we tend to get stuck on petty things that don't matter, and how many people spend so much time trying to getting away from themselves instead of focusing on what's in front of them — friends, family, or just being proud to be themselves," explains Brian Graham, the face behind the Bright Matter moniker.
Both tunes will lead up to the release of a new EP, and while no exact date has been confirmed, Graham anticipates it will drop in the near future. For now, you can grab both songs for free, and if you happen to be in the LA area next Saturday [August 30] you can catch him live at Amplyfi.
