Flying Lotus Releases Short Film "Until The Quiet Comes"

Flying Lotus has chosen an inventive and hard-hitting method for teasing his upcoming album, Until The Quiet Comes — the presentation of a short film by the same name. Directed by Kahlil Joseph, the film features three tracks off the forthcoming album, "See Thru To U" ft. Erykah Badu, "Hunger" and "Getting There," both of which feature Niki Randa.

Set in an urban neighborhood that has become overrun with desolation and violence, the film itself is highly graphic, with scenes of a young boy being shot, a man drowning, and a gun-wound victim who's risen from the dead for a ballet-meets-freestyle dance sequence. It's gritty and provocative yet beautifully filmed, and it's a wonderful segue to the album's October 2 drop via Warp Records.
