Dustin Kensrue Announces New Solo Album + Tour Dates

Dustin Kensrue released his debut solo album, Please Come Home, in 2007 and today has announced its anticipated follow-up. Though he has not revealed the title or release date yet, the Thrice frontman assures a Spring 2015 release.

Recording right now is for me the end of a long distilling process,” Kensrue said in a statement. “I always have bits and pieces of songs that are bouncing around in my head. I usually record them and listen back later, and most of the time I can’t remember why I even bothered to record them in the first place. But then there are the tunes that stick – the ones I find running over and over through my head, demanding to be finished. Begging for a home. The most persistent of these tunes from the past 8 years are what I’m busy recording right now, and there’s nothing I’d rather be doing.”

In addition to this announcement, the singer/guitarist also announced this year's Where's The Band? Tour, which also features the likes of Alkaline Trio's Dan Andriano, Hot Rod Circuit's Andy Jackson, Get Up Kids' Matt Pryor and the Dear Hunter's Casey Crescenzo.
