PureVolume's weekly charts reflect the site's most-played tunes over the course of the previous week. Every Monday morning, the Week tab on our Top Songs page ranks artists by the most-played jams. Our champion chart-toppers from the week of Dec. 26- Jan. 2 are:

1) Buckskin Bugle: Pulling in the top spot are newcomers (at least to us) Buckskin Bugle, a punk band hailing from Indonesia. Though not sung in English, the tight and melodic instrumentation of "Berjalan, Berlari, Menggapai Mimpi" still seems to have prevailed over the most seasoned acts of this week's list. 

2) Sh! It's a Secret: It's impossible to not fall in love with Sh! It's a Secret's feel good, electro-pop jams. The side project of Sail by the Stars' frontman earns its own spotlight this week with new song "Get Down." The song streamed last week and is being offered as a free download for a limited time. 

3) The Spin Room: This Long Island native brings emotion, heart, and a self-described "old school Taking Back Sunday" flair to our charts with "You Did It Right." This isn't the only PV chart you'll catch this guy -- or this song on -- both were recently featured in our Top 20 Unsigned Bands of 2011. 

4) HE IS WE: It may be nearly three weeks since the duo premiered "Skip To The Good Part," but consensus seems to prove that no one's ready to stop spinning it yet. How could they, though? HE IS WE struck gold with this one. 

5)The Icarus Account: "Unpredictable" first stole our hearts when this Florida-based duo premiered their Keeper of Your Heart EP nearly three weeks ago. The song's free download only acts as an added bonus to its lush melodies and soft acoustics. Grab it before it goes.
