Ah, the brutalities of growing up. The stickiest of subjects we all have the joy of going through. Lucky for our poor adolescent hearts, we have musicians like
Anarbor to show us the way with their perfect melodies and insightful lyrics. Their new single, "Damage I've Done," is here to shed a bit of light on the years gone by — and provide a guiding light for those that are still ahead.
"This song means a lot to not only me, but the entire band. It's about growing up and making decisions on your own, whether they are good or bad, and seeing the outcome," says frontman Slade Echeverria. "Nobody knows where they will be in 10 years, that's why it's important to live your life to the fullest. This song is about being true to yourself and learning from your mistakes."
We should warn you, though — don't expect a heavy-hearted ballad with this one. If anything, its sunny guitar parts, glittering percussion, and anthemic choruses shine with stunning optimsm and a glimmer of hope creeps past the song's more serious subject matter. Give it a spin and then go grab it on
