Alesana's new video for "Lullaby Of The Crucified" is more short film than music video. It's an intricate story of a wary wanderer who finds himself thrown into the web work of the devil and desires-- at least, that's what we're taking from the twisted, dream-like images of fire and lust, and the initial references to Dante's The Divine Comedy. Perhaps it's a video depicting part of Dante's travels as written in his comedies? Might be, considering this song comes from Alesana's A Place Where The Sun Is Silent-- a concept album based on Dante's The Inferno. All philosophy and literature aside, this video is a journey within itself. If you're looking for music's version of a "think piece,"-- and you're okay with that piece being a little bizarre -- it's a must watch.
