Against Me!'s Tom Gabel Undergoing Sex Change
In recently breaking news, Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel has revealed plans to undergo a sex change, and has shared the full story of his transformation in the new issue of Rolling Stone [set to hit newsstands this Friday, May 11]. Of the information that has surfaced thus far, Gabel plans to take the name Laura Jane Grace, will remain married to wife Heather, and, as Rolling Stone reports, "will soon begin the process of transition by taking hormones and undergoing electrolysis treatments." Of the transformation, Gabel has also told Rolling Stone "I'm going to have embarrassing moments... and that won't be fun. But that's part of what talking to you is about -- is hoping people will understand, and hoping they'll be fairly kind."
