In the video premiere for their new single, "Cursed," Iowa based Christian metal outfit A Past Uknown take to a dank, underground cellar to churn out this biting tune. Staying true to the song's title, the video chronicles the dark existence of cult-like members, held at the mercy of an insane, blind-folded leader. The harsh undertones presented are, of course, symbolic of the song's meaning.
"[The song] is written about leaders, or anyone for that matter, who claim to be something they are not and lead people astray with their actions and words," the band explains. "Regardless of what people think, this band has found love in Jesus and we want to spread that love to let people know there is hope in such a dark world. Thanks so much to Purevolume for featuring this video!"
The song comes off the band's forthcoming new album, Vainglory, set to drop October 9 via Red Cord Records. "We are extremely excited for this new album," the band continues. "It is by far the best material we have written and can't wait for everyone to hear it." Check out the video right here and grab the album when it drops in October.
