Equal Vision Records
can now tack A Lot Like Birds
onto their ever-growing roster of incredible talent. The label announced today that they've signed the experimental, post-hardcore outfit. In a press release, the label noted that the band's "constant musical evolution and entrancing live shows, combined with their down-to-earth personalities, proved to be just the right fit" for them.
Of the new union, vocalist Cory Lockwood stated, "signing to Equal Vision used to just be a daydream for most of us. When we were growing up and still playing in previous bands, Equal Vision was putting out CDs by incredible artists that we admire like Bear vs Shark, The Fall of Troy and Circa Survive." Guitarist Michael Franzino agreed. "We are all very happy about it...there honestly couldn't be a better home for us and what we want to do," he stated. "It means the world to be on EVR and we can't wait to see what comes of it."
The band have plans to begin the writing process for their debut Equal Vision release, with hopes to enter the studio in early 2013. They also plan to ring out 2012 with continued touring and will be announcing fall tour dates soon. Congratulations to both band and label!
