Experiencing New Republic is a rebirth, a revelation, and a refreshing encounter with music at its most refined point. It is evident to the ear that the musicians not only create their music, but they embody it as well. This band is a collaboration, an infusion, of their multiple and varied inspirations- ranging from the likes of Ruben Blades, to Rage Against the Machine, and U2. The singer and guitarist, brothers, David and Jonathan Julca, moved to the United States from the Republic of Panama nearly eight years ago and shortly there after formed their band with bassist, Jack Huston, in 1997. After years of increasing development and musical maturity, they received drummer, Ryan Knerr, to the band. Together they have toured the United States countless times over the past few years. The union of Jonathans screaming guitar with jazzy flow of Jacks bass over the relentless beat of Ryans drums is the perfect compliment for the powerful vocals that come raging out of David. This band is timeless and significant. Their music will go on to grace the world beyond generations, ethnic backgrounds and genres.
