  Holy shit. I'm walking in a dive bar in Columbus tonight, and I hear the clamor of a live band coming from a dark club across the parking lot. So I stumbles in to see what's going on, and these guys are practicing. Holy shit. I didn't hear any tunes I recognized, but "Lit" popped to mind...and that's meant as a sincere compliment. What was immediately clear that the drummer is something of a monster, even with a small kit and no mics to highlight his skill. No batteries required. The kid playing the white Les Paul is flickin' nuts. Like the uniform precision of a fine saw blade...piercing tone and brutally perfect chops. Mind you this is a practice night, so the band is slopping around and jamming for the most part... but holy shit. Now I get home and listen to "Hang Out" and "Confessions", and it all makes a little more sense. And people in Columbus Ohio don't know who these guys are? We gotta get that tightened up. No shit.
