Punk / Indie
Since their foundation, NeverHood has recorded two full-length albums as well as a jingle for a television commercial. Their debut full-length, 2004âs One More Broken Promise, was an aggressive Punk Rock opus, as well as a South Florida favorite. It received radio play on West Palm Beachâs 92.1 Planet Radio, as well as several independent radio stations in Gainesville and St. Augustine. NeverHood also recorded two music videos for that album at The Lyric Theater which aired on Jungle TV, an independent music video program. In promotion for this album, NeverHood played shows all over Florida with acts such as Last Laugh, The Phunk Junkes, Sunday Driver (Drive-Thru), Cru Jones and Evelynn (who formed As I Lay Dying).
NeverHoodâs newest addition to their arsenal, 2006âs full-length Fragile Feelings and Debacle Dealings, is a far stretch from their former sound. This album explores the bandâs Indy influences, while still maintaining its euphonic Punk Rock edge. On this album theyâve left their aggression behind, and instead explore lyrical elements such as malevolence, deceit, transition, failure, disappointment, and of course love.
Since recording their newest album, Fragile Feelings and Debacle Dealings, NeverHood has relocated to Gainesville, Florida in pursuit of wider exposure, as well as further education. There is little doubt that with their Indy-Influenced Punk Rock sound, insightful lyrics and high-energy live performances, NeverHood will continue to grow in popularity for years to come.
