Well this past week there was a talent show at our school. And we rocked out the finale pretty hard. But nevertheless we couldn't pull out the perfect socre we needed to win the competition. The very understandable reason why we didn't win was because the judges were very generous giving 6 of the 8 acts a 13 of a possible 15 (which was the score we received), the last place act a 12 of 15 and first place act a 14 of 15 so it was a very tight race. That said there was only one fair way to decide who would take 2nd and 3rd place. Drawing the names out of a hat. The clear winner was Jodie Alcorn who played "Big Girls Don't Cry" as made famous by Fergie. 2nd went to Andrew Purvis with his cover of "Scientists", on piano, by Coldplay. And finally, 3rd was given to up and comers Bootslipper who played their own versions of a couple of classics such as: "Smells Like Teen Spirit". All in all it was a great event with some steller talent. But next time, NCL will take the gold!!
