Born out of the small town of Mount Airy, Maryland; Christian/Metal/Hardcore act My Ransomed Soul started its journey in late 2006. Since then the band has self released 3 EP's and 2 singles, and has had the opportunity to share the stage with well over 50 national acts, just a few of which included Attack Attack!, Parkway Drive, Silverstein, We Came As Romans, and Norma Jean. In addition, the ban...d has done extensive DIY touring, having played shows all over the Eastern United States. With plenty of shows and touring ahead, the band has no intentions of slowing down.

On May 10, 2011 the band released its third EP titled "Perceptions", which includes 3 new songs and a re-mastered version of the bands popular single "Light the Sky". The release will please fans of hardcore and metal alike, and is the most advanced and carefully crafted release from the band to date. The EP was recorded and produced by Justin Huffman of I, the Breather, and is available for purchase on iTunes, CDbaby.com, Amazon.com, and various other digital retailers.

Although the band has striven hard to create a name for themselves through multiple releases and touring; there is another side to them and their music. My Ransomed Soul is a Christian band made up of all Christian members. While they do not try to force their beliefs on anyone; they want everyone to know of the peace and hope they have found in Jesus Christ. Through their music and actions, the band desires to be a positive example to others and invites anyone to talk with them about their beliefs. It is clear that My Ransomed Soul aims not only to make an impact on the world of music, but on people's hearts as well.

u guys arent bad... i only think the music needs to be a little more harder think about droping the guitars to C tuning or heaveyer distortion cuz the dude growling got power in his voice and needs more power threw the music and the drummer totaly needs to double kick and u guys need ALOT MORE BREAKDOWNS! but ill give it a 7 out of 10 JH- Dec 04

Your guitar is good but you need to consolidate the bottom. Crank that base up. That's why it dosnt sound exactly right; u gotta build from the bottom up on chords. also, feature the bass a little! Christian screamo is my genre, and the thing i look for first are 1) vocals, good Chrisian lyrics 2) More than mindless guitar droning. put some musicality into it! 3) do they feature the bass often? Do it! and of course, things like overall sound, etc. u guys say you played with becoming the archetype and war of ages. amazing bands - learn from them!
