We have some exciting news we want to share with you all. We have recently become begun supporting Bound4Life. They are a pro-life organization that organizes prayer rallies outside abortion clinics and government buildings. They are in our top friends if you want to learn more about them. We will also begin to offer their wristbands at our merch table starting this weekend.
Our merch table will crank up this weekend with T-shirts, Posters and the Bound4Life wristbands. We are really excited about finally being able to offer some merchandise.
Finally, we have a new song which was written after hearing about Bound4Life and being inspired by their ministry. It is called Silent Screams. We just finished the music for it Monday and we should start playing it in January. God Bless!

Romans 12:1, 2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
This passage is so powerful. In the first verse we are challenged to take a look at the mercy God has shown us. How many times do we contemplate the mercy of God? If left to our own ability we are destined for eternal damnation. In His loving mercy He sent His son to die for us and not only save us from hell, but give us a future home in heaven. After we have thought about God's mercy how can we not offer ourselves to God? And if we offer ourselves to God as living sacrifices we must be an acceptable sacrifice. Accepting God's mercy is not a sacrifice. Living a life pleasing to Him is our sacrifice.
Many people, as well as us, enjoy worshipping on a Sunday morning in church. True worship is the daily life lived for God. Nothing proves your love for Him like the life you live. Our actions are music to His ears.
Then we are told how to be a pleasing sacrifice. "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Not conforming to the world is an impossible task if left to our own ability. That is why it is so important to ask God to transform our minds. Meditating on His word, time in prayer, and associating with people who edify us and God help us to accomplish this. We will conform to something, if we don't mimic Jesus we will mimic the world.
The second half of verse two really stands out to me. Every Christian wants to know God's will for their life and here is the answer. If we have renewed our minds with God's thinking we will be able to test His will for us. If you are immersed in scripture, prayer, Christian music, and Godly relationships we are sensitive to things that are not of God. When confronted with choices the right one seems obvious because of the Godly wisdom you are developing. Then we are left with the affirmation that God's will is good, pleasing, and perfect. How true that is. The worst place on earth you can be is out of God's will, but, as Stephen Curtis Chapman said, "there's no better place on earth than the road that leads to heaven."

All peace comes from God and I know He's in control, but sometimes it's difficult to see the outcome from my perspective. God gives us free will to choose to serve Him or not. That's one of the things that make Him who He is.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
This is an often misused scripture. It has been said by some that if you are in God's will then nothing bad can happen to you. There is nothing in scripture to back up that statement. Paul is not saying that only good things will come to those who love God. He is reassuring us that everything we go through is for our good. We are like muscles needing to be stressed in order to grow. If we never experienced hardship it would be nearly impossible for us to mature as Christians. We also know that through everything God loves us.
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or danger or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God's love is always there for us. Nothing we go through can alter that, nothing self imposed or inflicted on us by someone else. God's love is the one constant in our ever changing lives. When we face challenging times we must remember their purpose is to cause us to be more like Christ. In everything God is there with His loving arms to comfort and strengthen us.

If you feel alone, you are not the only one. All of us go through times in our lives where we are having trouble feeling God's presence. Even David felt, at times, that God was not with him.
Psalm 22:1 "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?"
It is important during these times that we look at past experiences for God's presence. Look for times when God's been evident in our lives. That is what carried Job through his trials.
Job 10:12 "You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit."
Be assured that God is always there and is always listening.
Joshua 1:5 "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Even when things are not going our way we need to praise God as Job did. Praising God is not just to exalt Him, but also for our own edification and strengthening.
Job 1:20-21 "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised."
