Bio: My After Session started off in downtown Hong Kong where Tim Tsai and Joshua Schawelson (at the age of thirteen) came together as an instrumental group. During the summer of 07, they parted Hong Kong to go to Wellesley, Boston where they performed for the first time in front of a live audience. The band before them was booed of the stage, therefore they were quite frightened before there performance. However they came out and rocked the stage with their first song "Wonderful". The crowd started to chant My After Session, the name of their band. After rocking the scene in Boston, they realized that they had something special. Since they wanted to progress with their music career, they decided that they did not have enough band members, so they would have to recruit more band members. They had a childhood friend (Liam Key) back in school (Chinese International School) that they wanted to recruit and who was also interested in joining the band. Since then, the three members of the band became My After Session.
All three members of My After Session grew up in a musical society where they were encouraged to write songs and learn to play instruments. They then started writing a wide range of alternative/rock/power pop songs. They devised a practice schedule and started practicing weekly in a cheap run down studio. After multiple hours of hard work, they created a demo CDs with songs including "Kati's Song" and "The Stars Above".
During the late stages of 07, the band started writing songs for their unreleased album titled "Roses & Champagne". They currently practice to this day and continue to write original songs for their debut album.
