MUDKIDS are synonymous with Indianapolis hip hop. Hitting the CMJ charts on a few different occasions on indie labels with weak marketing, put MUDKIDS in the eyes and ears of underground hip hop junkies across the U.S. Label and management issues have always plagued them, but it seemed things improved on their 2001 signing to Stray Records. Stray released the most solid MUDKIDS album to date in 'Higher', but immediately went under. MUDKIDS went on a 5 year hiatus from relasing new music , however emerged with local label and management backing with the album Basementality only to again see no promotion behind the project. MUDKIDS are preparing to emerge with a solid team and a renewed indie vigor. MUDKIDS will release an EP and LP in 2009 and are certain that they will catch international attention with this push. MUDKIDS have opened for Eminem, Wu Tang, KRS One, Royce da 5'9", Digital Underground, J5, Pharcyde, Hiero, Souls of Mischief, Atmosphere, etc, etc, etc.
