Mr Fortunato became the product of 2 small bands from Tucson, AZ; Fathom, composed of Brian Anderson and Nick Belock, and an earlier arrangement of Mr Fortunato, created by a small group of musicians led by Andrew Turley. The 2 bands fused together through the decay of both bands and the abridgement of the remaining members, Andrew, Nick and Brian.

Over time, Mr Fortunato endeavored many talented musicians to fill the apparent void in the group's uneven sound. In late September of 2005, the band accrued Tanner Crane as a temporary bassist for the band's first show. After just a few band sessions, they were satisfied with Tanner's performance, and accepted him as Mr Fortunato's much needed bassist.

In early 2006, Tanner left the band to pursue other avenues. Brian took over playing bass as Chris Culbertson, formerly of The Shelves, was acquired to play lead guitar after "blowing the band's skirts up". He continued to impress everytime he played with the band and was asked to to permanently sit in with the band.

On a sadder note, due to some complicated circumstances, Brian Anderson left the band, but will always be remembered as one of the beginning and essential building blocks of Mr Fortunato.

To counter the loss, the band found Mike Sadatmousavi and were so overcome by his skills, he was asked to sit in as the new permanent bassist and additional guitarist of Mr Fortunato.

In August of 2006, Nick left the band to focus on his education. He will be dearly missed as one member of the band who's been there since the beginning and contributed to making the band what it is today. In early September, John Clark stepped in as drummer to add his fantastic skill to help take the music to the next level and further the bands' progress.

Mr Fortunato has released a Demo Disc of their top 4 songs, and is currently working on a 5-6 song EP to be released sometime in 2008.
