Motown Moe is a jazz keyboard player from Detroit, Michigan his sound is best described as a blend of cool jazz mixed with rnb and new age, but Moe has done a few songs in other genres such as Hip Hop as well, his second love musically. âHip-softâ is the definition Moe uses to describe his primary style of play which is smooth and funky, but yet chilled enough for your mind to be at ease. Motown Moeâs objective musically is to make you feel rested after a hard days work. Motown Moe has produced and done collaborative works with artists in the US & UK and is always looking to do more. Motown Moe is a self taught musician and has no formal training in music. Anyone who knows this artist understands he has a profound love for smooth jazz music which started at the young age of 13 years while most kids during this time were listening to the sounds of the Jackson Five and Motown, Moe was listening to the Jazz Crusaders and MFSB on Detroitâs legendary jazz station WJZZ, while listening to favorite DJ Rosetta Hines, known as the first lady of jazz radio in Detroit Rosetta can be heard now a days @http://www.rosettahines.com. Motown Moe began his journey into music while serving in the Air Force, Moe retired after 21 years in 2005, during his time in the military Moe acquired his very first keyboard and the rest is history.
