On the topic of "Moresight" (self-titled 2005), the first record by Atlanta's Moresight...
"...The album mingles hard-hitting rock tracks next to mellow, moody songs that practically float from the speakers. The powerful "Faked out (& Faked Back In)" opens the album with driving guitar and sleek vocals and arrives with an initial promise of energy and subtle quirkiness that the album amply fulfills. With its dreamy vibraphone and trippy lyrics like "You cart around all of the chocolate/ In a word that rhymes with shopping cart," "Philanthropist" offers a hypnotic album oasis between the hard-edged rhythm of "Take the Candy" and the frenetic sax wails of "Don't Call the Doctor." Underneath the deceptively funky title of "Get Down, Get Down" hides a scaled-down Bowie/Wilco/Floyd-style low-fi feast of sirens, winds and atmospheric grumbling and humming. All in all, Moresight's self-titled album is a gallery of vast and varied soundscapes, each of which offers a glimpse into its own oddly beautiful little world."

"These Atlanta boys arrive at the party with a concrete first release. The ride begins with the high energy of "Faked Out (& Faked Back In)" then nails across a few more chords on their way to the garage blues of "Gentlemen" and onto the psychedelic "A Song for the Girl" Moresight's music is anything but dull. Changes in pace and vocal ranges keep you on your toes and make it a bit of a white-knuckle ride, coupled with pounding rhythms and a few uneven beats to make sure you're paying attention. More than not, they're straightforward, package their music well and make great freaking music!"
