Moray Firth is a Melodic Dark Metal band which melts four people influences and work :

Joe (bass / main vocals), Flo (drums), Guillaume (guitar) and Steff (guitar / background vocals).

Created by Steff (guitar), Benot (vocals) and Seb (drums) in 2001 in Lyon, France, the band engaged Joe (bass) one year later. The name MORAY FIRTH was selected, the first gig was given in Tournus (Sane et Loire), and the band kept on working on its tracks.

In 2003, MF signed its second guitarist, Guillaume, in order to make its music richer.

Then, several line-up modifications occurred, seeing Vic (vocals), Raff (drums) and Isa (keyboards) working few months with the band. A frustrating scenic night and different positions within the band went to strong movements. In 2004, a new period was initiated under Joe, Guillaume and Steff motivations; the band was working on its new tracks in a new way and decided to explore slightly different metal styles. The end of the year saw Flos arrival as the new drummer, who brougth a new inspiration.

In 2005, Joe endorsed vocals, kept on playing the bass, and the band strongly increased its activities as well as its ambition. A first result was the recording of its first demo (entirely home-made), entitled Inner Lands, on which Clara (vocals) and Dom (cello) added their own touch. In March 2006, the band started to play live on Lyon stages to end up the year with a total of 11 gigs. In the end of 2006 occurred the opening the web-site, MySpace page, and the arrival of Lionel, responsible of preparing the association called Up the Firth and working on gigs organization.

Keeping the same dynamic evolution, Moray Firth has today the strong will to perfect its musical style and live performances. With the help of its manager Lionel and Up the Firth, the band starts the year 2007 with the following objectives: increase its merchandising, take contacts with labels and propose a first Studio recording, to give the necessary production to the music writings.
