ABOUT MOLEHILL

Since the foundation of the band in 2003, Molehill has been exploring a countless number of different genres such as alt. rock, dream pop and folk.
Now, inspired by the shoegaze- and post rock movements of the 90es mixed with todays neo-psychadelic indie rock scene, Molehill has grown to be a low light laboratory of perforating noise machines, radios and crackling electronics, epic guitar soundscapes, dark keyboard drones, apocalyptic bass lines, haunting voices, fragile xylophones and dramatic drums.

Molehills lyrics have always been highly influenced by the city life in hometown Copenhagen. The output is poetic and heartfelt stories about life, death and darkness between traffic lights, dirty pavement and tall empty buildings.

Although the references are many, Molehills universe insists to be unique and the bands coming audio/visual live shows will be an experience and a challenge for both eyes and ears.

"Molehill is an epitome of one of many bands from the Copenhagen music scene which is currently less known but plays high quality music, and possibly within a few years becomes one of several bands that will stand out. Currently we are working on creating great shows for you at the dates above. Meanwhile we are waiting for confirmations from more bookinggroups and it looks like there will be plenty of opportunities to experience Molehill live in the fall!

NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO FROM MOLEHILL IS OUT NOW - HAFNIA!

The new single from Molehill is an instrumental piece with a video!

Our goal was to attain a certain state of mind, that we feel inside ourselves and in our music!
The theme of the video was to create an honest portrait of us as a band and a documentary of Copenhagen in flames of light in the night as inspiration!
We have also had the pleasure of having Marie Louise Lind playing a beautiful cello on the track!
All together the two parts illustrates Molehill as it is to us!
