Moj Rakety" isn't exactly the band's name: for a better sound, the name has been simplified from "Moj Rakety Vverh" ("My Rockets Upwards") to "Moj Rakety" (My Rockets), so now we're "Moj Rakety," - the guys explain. The debut album "Moj rakety vverh" was recorded and mixed in 2003-2004 in Dobrolet Studio, St. Petersburg, by the legendary Russian sound producer, Andrew Aliakrinski (the sound producer and engineer of Tequilajazzz), with the help of guest musicians Denis Scopan (ex-guitar player of "Team Ocean" and "Nebo Zdes") and Sergey Egorov (percussion in the band "Markscheider Kunst" and "Optimistica Orchestra"). The album was mastered by Urij Bogdanov in Moscow, and was soon released in Russia in August 2004. "Moj Rakety" successfully presented the album to the public on September 10, 2004, on the Russian radio station "Arsenal," and on September 19 in the Moscow club "16 tons. Two of its songs ("Isla de Encanta" and "Autumn Square-Wear") featured on the soundtrack of the film "Manga," which appeared on Russian screens on May 26, 2005. "Believe" and "Make it" have been selected for collections released by the Russian music magazines PLAY (14, 2004)and FUZZbox (18, 2004). The debut album was released by Inca Records in Netherlands and Smashed Records in Australia. This spring "Moj Rakety" recorded their second album at "Dobrolet" studio, it will be released in Russia in February 2006.. In summer2005 the band took part in Zwarte Cross Festival in Holland. On the 1st of September Moj rakety successfully presented Nightmaremars EP with 3 new tracks to the public. "Music is always first for us, say Kostya (vocal, guitar), Sergey (drums) and Alexey (vocal, bass guitar). We spend the majority of our time rehearsing. The main thing for us is experience. But we are especially grateful for the chance to perform live and to work in the studio. "Moj Rakety", whose creativity has had a big influence on their musical consciousness, has deserved the love of music fans. Covers of songs by The Sex Pistols and The Pixies are considered to be some of their best pieces. The musicians also like to take part in festivals devoted to Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones and Nirvana. The band's concerts are always a bright and unforgettable event. The guys work as hard on their shows atmosphere as they do on their music, using their own home-made video series, domestic cozy light, "space" scenery and many other things. "Each concert is like the first, and that's why they're very important for us," say the musicians. And they are certainly not mistaken about one thing - clubs are full at their concerts. The different band members already have a lot of concerts and albums to their credit. Right from the start the guys played in the young band "Dogz." (The song "She" was selected for the Russian alternative collection "Study to Float. Lesson 4".) Kostya and Sergey also currently play in the Moscow group "7Rasa" and each of the guys has already taken part in different underground projects. The musicians found creative freedom in 2001 in "Moj Rakety". The fourth member of the band is the manager, Dasha, She has worked with the guys since the very and she found the opportunity to record their first album. Kostya, Alex, Serg and Dasha are old friends. Plus, working in their favourite business, they all aspire to one overall goal to travel around the world for concerts. Not wanting to go in circles playing solo concerts, the group has arranged secretly to tour small Moscow clubs under names which nobody knows. Similar actions and successful performances in various Russian cities attract more and more people every time.
