MinusMyThoughts is a collection of five guys that bleed music. The group has existed for three years as a local band, trying out members, songs, and attitudes to become the full-time band it exists as today.

Prior to its current lineup, the band released a few self-produced demos that saw great local success, selling out their short runs in a relatively short time. In February of 2005, the band travelled to San Diego's Signature Sound (Blink 182, Switchfoot, POD) to work with producer Ben Moore (Finch, Rocket from the Crypt) on a three-song EP. This step marked the beginning of a new approach for the band; they started booking tours, starting out short and poorly put together, and leading to month-long outings to the entire western US.

In September of 2005, MinusMyThoughts entered upstart studio Habbilis Records with producer-turned-bandmate Max Allyn to create a new sound and release the band's debut album "Starring in the Role of Victim." The album's recording process saw a lot of turbulence, including the loss of two members. A serious transformation occurred in the studio with the addition of Max Allyn (guitar and keyboard) and drummer Checkers Barker II, with nearly every song seeing some sort of revision, and in most cases being torn down to the bare chords and started over.

The band has been touring since the completion of their new album, and has no intention of slowing down. Encouraged by incredibly supportive fans that make for great out of town shows and even better homecoming shows, MinusMyThoughts aims to stay on the road as long as possible.
