Mindspin is a heavy rock/melodic metal band that is presently assaulting ears and minds across its native South Florida. The band formed in mid 2004 when guitarist Justin, after leaving his former band Stereo9, teamed up with good friend and fellow guitarist Duke to form a new band. Drummer Juan and Bassist Franklin were previously in the band Worst Case Scenario, and decided to venture out to find new musicians to realize their new musical vision. After several long and frustrating months of not being able to find the right guitarists, Franklin saw an ad placed by Duke looking for other band members to fill their lineup. A call was immediately placed and a jam session was planned. Duke then called Robbie, his ex singer from his prior band Blue Ruin, to see if he would be interested in checking it out. Robbie was, the 5 jammed a few days later and havent stopped since. But, as of September 2005 we were in search of a new bassist due to creative differences. Ronnie joined us for as our new bass player. All five shared the same vision of hard sharp riffs without sacrificing melodic tones. Their debut album should be out soon, so keep an eye out for them in the meantime ripping up clubs and venues around South Florida.
