Created by various ideals and influenced by various musical styles, the Mind Probes “tribe” has its origins in Peniche, the beginning in January 2001, by three young men that used to make little jam’s, but they had some difficulties, like the lack of bassist and musical instruments.
In March 20, 2001 the band was completed with the entry of a bassist, taking a little time to feel their particular and unique union, in that time the band was composed by : João Leitão (vocal)Valter Geraldes (guitar / back vocal), Fernando Costa (bassist) and José Jorge (drummer), all from Peniche.
Mind Probes gave its first steps due to its constant dedication. The practicing is constantly defining the band’s sound, making new songs and asserting the old ones.
In November 2002, the band recorded four songs, “Peaceful World”, “Not My Fault”, “Green Days” and “Cold Head”. Later they recorded another one called “Do I Deserve That”.
Months later and next to various shows the drummer (José Jorge), have left in a friendly way the band, leaving a blank to be filled in haphazardly by several drummers. After that, the band integrated two other members, Rodrigo Mamede (guitar), Valter Canhoto (turntables / samples).
The entry of these new members had positive repercussions on the whole band, as it brought along a new flame and energy in many aspects.
