Mike Frost is a producer/writer/beats technician who commits himself to the "Art of Rap". Taking his cues from the political and social messages performed by Grandmaster Flash, Nas, The Game, and many others, Frost creates beats that cross musical lines as well as socioeconomic lines. Not influenced or impressed by fake, bling-bling rap artists, he draws his newest inspiration from both Kanye West and The Game, who he credits for beginning a renewal in the classics of hip-hop and rap.
He was born in East L.A., and draws inspiration from his own childhood, the oldest of six children raised by a single mother. Both the social and economical hardships they've sustained, and the experiences of being a young minority in modern America, have enriched his dedication to create beats in order to arm the next generation of genuine rap artists for the world of tomorrow.
He gives thanks both to God for his gifts and to his siblings for their love and support over the years.
Music he is driven by include Nas, Johnny Cash, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Jars of Clay, KRS-One, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, Mezzanine Blade, Mel-Man, and Ezio Bosso.
