My name is Michael Ambery, I am a singer songwriter from Victoria British Columbia. Ive played music ever since early highschool. The first guitar I ever played was on a trip down to Northern Mexico. My Father has a love for guitars and so as a family we decided to go to a small town named Paracho. Paracho is the guitar capitol of Mexico. He bought a beautiful classical guitar, and thus I plucked my first string.
Ever since then Ive been playing, and recording from a setup I have at home, I cant afford to record through a record label, all that seems to complicated. We live in such a complex world these days, nothing seems to make sense anymore!
My music influence comes from anyone who sings with soul. Of the big names, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison, Emmylou Harris, Paul Simon (including art garfunkel,) Ladysmith Black mambazo, Joni Mitchel, the Beatles, Cat Stevens, Bruce Cockburn, David Gilmour, Pink Floyd, James Taylor, Jennifer Warnes, Neil Young, and of course many others that I can't name. I even get influence from Tupac when he is at his best.
And now enjoy my songs, my songs are a reflection of my life. I try to speak through my music the nature of my soul.

times we would hang out at your place or mine or even
the ocean and you brought your guitar along. God has
really given you and your family an amazing talent keep
