METHODICAL BREED

With a combined influence of metal and hardcore methodical breed has a unique but familiar sound. Stimulating lyrics armed with progressive/aggressive guitar lines,and machine gun kick drum sound makes them truly an assault on the system. Blended together this creates a sound that is equally deranged as it is sane.
Formed in summer 2003 there was one goal, to orchestrate and execute a unique sound. The following spring drummer Matt Smith met with an accident that stalled the band. This however did not stop the rest of the band from looking at it from a different perspective. They saw it as an opportunity to come together and write material that bonded them and brought them to a new level. When Matt recovered he added the final and deciding piece of the puzzle. The following year would prove to be the start of many stepping stones towards Methodical Breeds career :
- 11/04 - recorded self titled three song ep
- 12/04 - Cd release party with 200+ in attendance, guitar giveaway from Long and Mcquade , with several other sponsors in the Edmonton area.
- 02/05 - Headlined "The world's longest hockey game" outdoor winter event which raised over $75,000 for the Canadian Cross-Cancer Institute.
- 03/05 - short 7 city Alberta/B.C tour
- Canada Day/05 - Won first place @ "Rockfight 2005" @ Festival Place
in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
- 08/05 - Launched 25 city Western Canada tour.
- 09/05 - Record new cd "Outbreak" w/ Layne Allen @ Homestead Studios in Edmonton, Alberta.
- 11/05 - Release Full length Cd entitled "Outbreak"
- 01/06 - Will embark on first cross Canada tour supporting "Outbreak"
