This project was created to demonstrate that heavy metal music can be related to Jesus and the Bible, and not only that. Metatrone, infact, have another important mission in life: to take part in benefit activities all around the world. Metatrone started their trip at the end of the nineties. Every single musician had a different background (from AOR to power/progressive metal) and, all together, started the band in 1998. The band founder, keyboard player Davide Bruno, entered the theological seminary in Catania, Sicily, in 2001, and that's when every single musician in Metatrone started to really focus all the energies in creating the most passionate music around, being truly and deeply inspired by the catholic culture. 'The Powerful Hand', the band's first album, initially recorded in Italian and then translated into English, was made in cooperation with the theological seminary in Catania and is now released worlwide by Scarlet Records, and by King Records for Japan and Far East only.

Metatrone are: Jo Lombardo (lead vocals), Stefano Calvagno (guitars & backing vocals), Davide Bruno (keyboards & backing vocals), Virgilio Ragazzi (bass) and Tony Zappa (drums & percussions).
