Welcome to Metaphorically Speaking's Myspace Website. We are currently a 3-Man Experimental Rock Band who loves punctuation marks and is offering the world new sounds to enjoy and a must hear!!! We are currently looking for one more member in the band who can cooperate & dedicate their time and life to what were doing as a dream. For those who love the Talent of music with no fake talent, only real talent.

ABOUT US: Lead Singer & Songwriter "Taylor Gates" (Age 16) formed Metaphorically Speaking with Guitarist "Matt Bertino" (Age 18). They then later wrote their first song "Channel News" and then not too long after "Slaverization" then "The American Dream" and last "Hearts of Stone". Taylor's Goal to the songwriting was to not include personal love it was to point out facts and problems. All these songs consisted of only Vocals and Guitar! Then later joined Drummer "Barney Baldwin" (Age 16) . Taylor recruited Barney from their old band Sidewalk Explosion which was a Hard Rock Band. Then later came Bass Player "Evan Mclaughlin" (Age 18). These four then combined their instruments to recreate their four songs. Later Producer & Performer "Ryan Blaine" (from the band Pyramid) recorded the songs with its new sounds. A week later came Lead Guitarist "Lowell Moore" (Age 15) the talented electic & acoustic guitar player (who also was a part of Taylor & Barney's old band Sidewalk Explosion). Then the band created their new songs "Over You" & "Shut Out" with Lowell on the acoustic guitar. Later Rhythm Guitarist "Tim Welch" (Age 15) joins the band and brings the guitar sound of our new song "A New Begining" (Which was created to become a ending or begining song to our upcoming album). Unfortunately Evan & Matt have currently or permanently departed from the band but we wish them well. They then decided to go on Myspace, Purevolume, Popcurrent, and create this website! The bands cooperation is fantastic and is getting them in average to one song a week. The band hopes to find female talent for backup and duet vocals! Metaphorically Speaking's goals and dreams are to become part of the music business and show the world and public their talent and style of music. "We will never give up to accomplish our dream and goal and we appreciate all who help & try to make this possible", Says Taylor Gates. Metaphorically Speaking is a 3-Man Experimental Rock Band! Featuring Taylor Gates, Lowell Moore, and Barney Baldwin! We have decided to create a new type of music almost like our own Genre. Where we try to connect to your heart and show ideas and thoughts that you may have experienced or never experienced. Like a Deeper thinking. We hope to join the music world so we can soon play for people publicly or anywhere around the world. Our goal is to finish our album and make more songs and then become signed so we may play for the public. We are in need of recording assistance so that we may finish our album and be on our way and begin our shows. Also we are looking to find a producer or manager who enjoys our music and would like to use our musical talent to progress in the music business! We are sure we have what it takes as we work as hard as we can to make new songs for our young age! Anyways we have Tim Welch on Guitar as well as Lowell Moore who both bring the beautiful sounds of the guitar to our music. Taylor Gates' style is its own unique way of Vocals and Songwriting! Barney Baldwin brings you more feel to every beat. Evans Bass playing puts deper and lower sounds to our music!
