METAL KING was born in 1997 under the idea "metal flame" with the intend to show the true face of aggressive speed-heavy metal and at the same time to struggle tirelessly by the dignity and honour of metal itself, which it's being subjected to nowadays by the current influx of new musical tendencies, which are degenerating the real essence and the powerful legacy of our metal ancestors; that why METAL KING is here!, to face up to this outrageous situation and show the exotic and cult power of the crushing metallic metal, play with true feeling and deep devotion, METAL KING is here to declarate the war to all those bastard neo-fans, who just looking for rock-stars.

In 1999 came out the first demo tape named "Con manos de Hierro", printed by SOTANO RECORDS from Ecuador; At that time Metal king were just 2 members, Diego Lopez played the drums. Shortly after, he left the band and the band had a short stop during some months; meantime, "metal flame" went on composing new songs, in few month "bloody hammer" (ex-planta Cadaver "Colombian death metal band") joined the band as a drummer and shortly after emerged an interesting offer of two Colombians labels, DARK DESIRES & INFECTO to come out a 7 EP and so, this idea came true with the coming of "Metal rules", which had a very good acceptation in some countries. A year later METAL KING came back to the studio and recording 2 new songs and at that time important contacts were being made with IRON PEGASUS RECORDS and was this label which came out a second 7 EP named " Worship the real metal", which has raised the level and name of METAL KING before the underground scene and has been proved that the real metal rules eternally!!

In 2001 the band was re-located in Spain, because his founder "metal flame" decide to emigrate from Colombia. So, it was a big obstacle in the firsts months, because metal flame had to get new members and it wasn't a easy work, fortunately metal flame put in touch with a drummer from Ecuador, who was playing at that time in a black metal band and he decided to join Metal king as a drummer, some months later joined the band wil "mutilator" as a bass player, that's how Metal king completed its line up to compose all its new tracks for the full-lenght album, which was recording on november 2003 in Madrid and was named " THE ARRIVAL OF THE IRON ARMY" and as the first 7ep was co-produced by DARK DESIRES AND INFECTO and this CD is giving to Metal king a great strength around the world, many metal fans has been satisfied with this brutal impact of pure metal sound.

As a recent news, we can say Metal King will enter to studio in few months to record its second full-lenght, which many metal maniacs are waiting for. Recently Wil mutilator has been dismissed of the band due to some problems.
