J. Marcus - Automat Collider is a 15 tracks pearl of juicy goodness that's bound to have you engaging in some involuntary boppin' behavior. It's got a vintage, funky fresh and sizzling sound cultivated from the rice patties of Madagascar to the commie nightclubs or southern Italy.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, J. Marcus (James McGuire) grew up moving around the world: Cameroon, Rwanda, Madagascar, Italy, and various places in the US.
His dynamic style was fermented with hip hop, fusion, jazz, and club music. He synthesizes a variety of influences.
His vintage sound ranges from minimal to full-bodied instrumental combinations, then drops without notice into the murky waters of a sample-based digital landscape.
