Introduction:

Matt Shank is a multi-instrumentalist pop/rock singer-songwriter from the small town of Lock Haven in Pennsylvania. He is a mere 17 years old. However, he is not new to the music scene. He first picked up the guitar at age 5, and has learned to play many, many other instruments since then, some of which include the piano, the mandolin, and the accordion. Inspired by acts such as Bright Eyes, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, piano rock and pop artists like Ben Folds and Fastball, and 1990's alternative bands such as the Goo Goo Dolls and Third Eye Blind, Matt Shank creates a mix of emotionally-enthused acoustic and piano pop and with a side order of indie rock, and maybe a little sprinkle of folk here and there. The more he ventures into the music world, the more he picks up and utilizes effectively. There's no doubt this kid will make it big.
