A Dream Realized

After years of planning, writing, and investing in even just the slightest possibility of a song, "Envious EP" is a product of these efforts. I've put out pseudo-albums here and there but this is safe to say that this EP is a solid and marketable product-- not that I wrote these songs to do that, but I intentionally invested in having a few of my songs recorded at Top Sound Productions. Thanks to the great efforts of Gene Cookmeyer, we were able to get my songs to where I wanted them. I hope listeners will be able to catch a glimpse of what I was experiencing as I wrote these songs. I take the William Wordsworth perspective as to what song writing is: a spontaneous overflow of powerful emotions. This is what these songs have. I hope you enjoy listening to them just as I have enjoyed writing and recording them.

Everything changes after you fall in love. I've been in the process of songwriting and recording this past few months. With the help of my good friend Nick Roberts and the inspiration from a certain girl- the song "Envious" is a by product of such efforts and experiences. The next few months will be spent amidst friends and more studio walk-in closets. A special thanks to Nick Roberts for his patience, delicious personality, and sensitive ears to help me produce "Envious". Enjoy! If you decide to download my songs, please give me credit. Thanks.

Love,

I am evolving. Not like Darwinian view of it. Nor the Pokemon type of evolution. I am an evolving musician. Heavily influenced by artists like John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.B. King, Hendrix, and Clapton, you might mistake my sound for Jack Johnson- probably just our music is laid back just like we both are, respectively. I hope you enjoy the sounds I make and I hope you find my lyrics to be somewhat insightful. Here are to my inspirations...

I've been thinking a lot about life and how short it is. Many people have passed away in a very short period of time and it's lead me to contemplate how precious our time here is. To me, music just makes life much easier to live. A song (if well written and played) can affect a person's thoughts and actions so my theory is: FILL YOUR BRAIN WITH GOOD= GOOD THOUGHTS :D I hope I can inspire you someway, somehow- not because of me but because of the Son of Man. I'll keep writing songs and hopefully you'll keep listening. All my recording stuff is cheap (actually it's free) so I think I Need to give Audiacity some props and love because I wouldn't be able to put up my music on Purevolume.com if it weren't for 'em. Oh and thanks to you! You're the second reason I keep playing. The first... is to my Perfect Dad up in the sky ;D Shalom and enjoy life.
