10/31/06
Everything's moving pretty quickly once again out here at the site. New songs are flying around and being recorded, and we're getting set to lay down a demo. Thank you and apologies go out to those of you who've remained faithful to the site, but if all goes as planned, we should be back to our wonderfully active selves in no time. Keep checking in, the excitement is just beginning. Happy Halloween, and welcome to November!

10/28/06
Matthew will be headlining DEMSTOCK, the USC Democrats' "Get Out the Vote" campaign concert! The evening begins around 7pm, and Matthew will take the stage around 8:20. We hope to see you all there!

7/20/06
New rendition of The Rain in the player! Enjoy!

7/5/06
After an uneventful two months away, we're back on the music trail. Keep checking in for updates and new music, including this one in the pureplayer. Any suggestions on a song name will be much appreciated...email your thoughts!

5/11/06
In case you were wondering, "Let's Go" is no longer downloadable because the quality of the tune in the pureplayer was so horrible relative to the actual recording quality. If you are interested in obtaining a copy, we do still want you to have this one--just email us and we'll hook you up with the real deal.

5/9/06
This is a brand new tune. Don't be shy, give'r a try. Download now and dance around the room, or whatever it is you do.

4/28/06
We're sorry about the delay, but don't give up on us! There should be music up by the middle of next week...ringing in the new month in style! You know what they say--hooray for May.

4/11/06
It's no malfunction, it's no accident, it's no error. ALL the songs were taken down this afternoon, but we're happy to say that there are plenty more to come, and they're coming very soon. Keep checking back...

3/23/06
Two in one week? NO WAY! Check out "The Rain" in the PurePlayer, read ANOTHER new blog entry about it, and thanks for stopping by.

Popular choice wins--the next song up will be the DCFC "Marching Bands of Manhattan" cover. Check in on Friday, it'll be waiting for you. Also, the lyrics to "Untitled 6" are now in the pureplayer, for those of you who are interested (they're some of our favorites so far!). Thanks for stopping by...

2/2/06
If you're a true fan with religious devotion to this site, you're about to reap major benefits--tonight at 10pm, Matthew will be performing an impromptu show at USC's "Thursday Night Live." The event will take place at Cafe 84 on the University Park Campus, starting at 9pm. Other performers include Shawn Barnes and Monika Lind, but Matthew will take the stage at 10 and play a half-hour show. We look forward to seeing you!

That's the show! We hope you enjoyed the music. More should be up on the site by month's end, so keep checking back. Oh, and have a terrific Thanksgiving, be safe, and we'll see you all soon.

We apologize for any confusion--but we're extremely excited to announce that Matthew WILL be performing TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH, 2005 at 10PM in Groundzero Coffee House at the University of Southern California. For directions or event info, go to www.usc.edu and search "Ground Zero" or email muzikman86@aol.com with your inquiry. We hope to see you and your friends there...

10/30/05
Because of Matthew's recent illness, the show next Tuesday night has been postponed until early December. We apologize for the delay...we'll have a new date as soon as the end of this week.

10/14/05
You an Elliott Smith fan? Perhaps a Matthew Heins fan? Or maybe a Parker fan? Be sure to check out Nick Wong, bassist and vocalist for Parker, at his Purevolume site: www.purevolume.com/nickwong. Keep checking back!

10/9/05
That's a thousand.

10/7/05
Two headlines: First off, due to venue miscommunication, the upcoming concert has been postponed until November 8th at 9:45 at Groundzero Coffee House on the University of Southern California Campus. That gives you 2 weeks more to get psyched.

Second, the computer is back up and running. Let's hit 1000 plays, then we'll get some new stuff up on the site! You know you want to listen to it anyway...

10/5/05
On Monday, October 24th at 9:30PM, Matthew Heins will be performing LIVE at Groundzero Coffee House at the University of Southern California. The show is, thank goodness, FREE, and will be a night of wild sex and rampant drug use, not to mention some great music. Well maybe not the drugs. But definitely the sex. Anyway, come on out and have a great time with us! We're looking forward to it!

9/28/05
Apologies! It has been nearly a decade since new music was posted on this site, and due to recent technological failures, Matthew has no access to previously recorded music, nor does he have a mechanism by which to record, produce, and post new tunes. Hopefully, the arrival of a new month will also feature the arrival of a healed or replaced hard drive--which means October is our month of Jubilee! Look forward to at least one new tune, and keep checking back. ALSO: help us hit 1000 plays. If you can hit a thousand, maybe we can give you some bonus new stuff to play with. Thanks for staying with us!

8/21/05
New version of In Your Way to pick you up. Explore the site! Thanks for checking in!

7/9/05
New track in the player, fresh out of the oven...sneak preview of album closer! Take a look around our new and improved site!

6/21/05
Sorry we've been MIA for so long...summer is our time to turn so lazy that we can't even muster up the strength to type. Be on the lookout for a full band version of In Your Way, set to hit the player in the very near future! Also, new performance dates to be announced! Don't give up on the site!

5/4/05
Bio Update. We hope all's well for all of you out there, and look forward to seeing you during Matthew's stay in San Antonio during the next few weeks.

4/24/05
Newbie in the player. Readup in bio. Also, a few new pictures in the photos section. Enjoy!

4/18/05
Give a listen to "Up Close to You," an oldie but goodie from Matthew's days in San Antonio. Also, check out the BIO section for a new journal entry.

3/21/05
Today marks 19 years since the fateful day Matthew Heins was introduced to the world. Here's to another few years of decent luck...

3/9/05
Another newbie for the groupies. Read about it in the bio section.

2/27/05
After a weekend in the wilderness of Big Bear Lake, we're pleased to give you a "Thank god tomorrow's the last day of February" treat. We hope you enjoy "Trouble," now playing in the pureplayer!

2/16/05
Looks like there's a strong chance that we'll be having another GroundZero show here towards the end of March--potentially the 30th. More when we've figured out the booking. Thanks to Lauren Labinger for the intel.

2/4/05
When Purevolume says 72 hours, they mean 192 hours. NEVERTHELESS, the site is finally up and running! We're working hard to keep you all updated on everything going on over here. This is the place to find the newest music, most up-to-date news, concert and random pictures, and show dates. We promise to keep this thing current if you just keep checking in!

1/27/05
Keep checking in with us for new and exclusive music straight out of Trojan Hall 381.
