Thanks to everyone who came out to the show down in Tucson at GJ's Christian Coffee House. We had a great time. It was so fun, it sounded great, and we couldn't have asked for a better reception. Nailed It!

While working with my brother in law Monday, putting an addition onto a house, I dropped a nail right into my foot! I try to be as manly as possible and do other things besides just play my guitar. So I'll go out and work some contruction side jobs here and there. While pulling down an old part of the roof we were remodeling I grabbed a long board off the roof and it came crashing down on top of my foot. Jeremiah 29 God sent His people into exile because of their disobedience to His commands. Yet in the middle of their exile He continues to love them and encourage them and give them a job to do while seventy years of exile pass. Talk about a steep punishment. Their facing seventy years of consequences. But God doesn't simply cast His people off because of their disobedience. Had a great day leading worship at the home church tday. God showed up. There were a handful of people who gave their hearts to the Lord today. The band rocked as well. It was a trimmed down team (acoustic/electric/and drums) but it still held ground as one rockin' worship band. Well, I'm just kickin back. I'm enjoying my vacation, trying not to work too hard. I'm taking advantage of the time to do a little song writing and update my webpages/Myspace/purevolume and matthewcasteel.com. I think I'll throw on some flip flops and head out to the local Christian coffee shop with my guitar and laptop maybe play a little, write a litttle and enjoy a cup o' smoothie (since I'm not a big coffee fan) who knows.
