Marilia Dutra is a singer and songwriter, born in Criciuma, Santa Catarina, Brazil. She is known for being one of the two finalists of Country Star, a national Terra Nativa program on Band television network which was hosted by the sertanejo duo, Guilherme & Santiago. Marilia represented her state, and was chosen from more than 4000 female contestants. For the final episode, she traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, the home of country music. There she worked with producer Eric Silver, who has worked with artists including Shania Twain, The Dixie Chicks and Donna Summer. Marilia has devoted fans from all over Brazil who that voted her the best country singer of 2008, through a polling of the website, Movimento Country. She has shared the stage with Bruno & Marrone, Victor & Leo and Guilherme & Santiago. She is currently releasing her new CD titled, Você Esta Em Mim. This project shows her talent as a writer and singer, with ten own songs, including a live version of Sonhar e Amar Voce, recorded during her show in the 16th Festa Nacional da Maça in 2008. The album also has covers of, Por Te Amar Demais by Bruno & Marrone, and Porta-Retrato by Edson & Hudson and a new song from Sandro Henrique. The project was produced by Elison Maximo with artistic direction by Adriano Dutra. The album was recorded in Criciúma at the Studio Daufembach and in Sao Paulo at Studio Pro-mix, and was mastered at Mosh Studios in São Paulo by Valter Lima. Marilia has done shows accompanied by her band in many national festivals including, Arrancada de Caminhoes, Festa da Maça and Festa do Vinho, the settler parties, rodeos and city auctions national television.
