Raised in both the USA and France, Marc Farre's background is as unique, and unusually compelling, as his music. In addition to his three CDs and tours, Marc has been a free-form DJ (on the legendary WFMU), a manager for John Cage and Merce Cunningham, and a composer of film, ballet and theater scores (including a London production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses).

His intimate songwriting style and sophisticated arrangements often evoke comparisons to artists such as Leonard Cohen, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake and Lou Reed though his sound is all his own. With his earthy voice, deep lyrics and seductive melodies, Farre manages to touch heart, mind and body all at once.
