Marcelo Roascio is a guitarist and composer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He plays instrumental rock in the vein of Jeff Beck and Joe Satriani with his band "RCM", and classic rock in the style of AC/DC, Kiss, Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin with his band "Dr.Rock".
He also teaches guitar and has written over fifteen books with audio CD, which are being sold all over Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
He worked and played with musicians like Steve Morse, Freddy DeMarco, Steve Lynch, Stu Hamm, Marty Friedman, Gregg Bisonette, Steve McNally and Nicko McBrain doing translations and clinics in Argentina.
Roascio played and recorded with local bands like Engranaje, Los de Goma, Dr.Rock, Los Arcontes and RCM. During his career, he worked as an endorser for brands like Crate, DiMarzio, Aria, Laney, Roland/Boss, Samick, Danelectro and Ibanez doing clinics and product demonstrations. Starting in 2007, Roascio became international endorser for Fernandes guitars (Japan), and local endorser for Morley pedals (USA) and Ernie Ball Strings (USA).
Marcelo Roascio collaborates regularly with the spanish magazine "Guitarra Actual", wich sells in Spain and Latin America. He also is the editor in chief of the argentine magazine "Guitarristas.ar", and writes Q&A columns in the web site "El Rincon del Guitarrista" (www.guitarraonline.com.ar).
