Borned in Angra do Herosmo, Terceira island - Portugal, during the year of 1997, Manifesto got together with the intention to fuse the different sound and ideals from their mentors and offer the public a new dynamic, with original and fresh ideas. The first band in Terceira Island and one of the first in the Azores playing live Punk Rock have been through several phases and changes. Jorge; Hard Club in Porto w/ Doink and So Carlos. 2005 - Braga at Inslito Bar; Porto at discoteca Maus Hbitos; Sanjoaninas; II Festival Aco Directa and Biscoitos.
Producing a sound that we like to call "Rock de interveno", we try to create different experiences on stage, using Ska as well and different instruments as Berimbau, Didgeridoo, Trumpet and Sax. The band, during live shows, has a projection of images and videos, having as a background lyrics (mostly) in Portuguese, sending on messages of justice, human values, equality rights and rousing for themes as social discrimination, ignorance and many other present subjects that foment the destruction of society and youth. With the same intention we appeal to recycling, an important factor for the welfare and life quality, present and future.
Our Demo CD was recorded in Praia da Vitria, on 2004, by Miguel Angelo, and mixed and mastered at Restart Studio, Lisbon by Rodrigo Rodrigues.
