Mae's Lost Empire formed in February 2008 after local Sheffield bands Saving:Mitsuko and The Fourth Way both met an early grave. Paul, Chris and Lucas from The Fourth Way quickly joined forces with Rob from Saving:Mitsuko and set about making their prescence known in the local music scene.

In early 2009 Mae's Lost Empire independently released 2 EPs entitled "Follow The Red Lights" and "Dark Suit, Subtle Label" and set off on tour accross the UK promoting them, gaining a following on the national scale.

In September 2009, Mae's Lost Empire signed to Rising Records and are currently writing material for their debut album which will be released through Rising Records in 2010.
