A Madalena, Go! Comecou em 2009, como poucas bandas comecam: de proposito. Talvez porque os quatro integrantes ja haviam passado por outras bandas e ja sabiam o que queriam fazer. So faltava mesmo se encontrar para colocar em pratica, e com mais foco, o que haviam aprendido durante esse tempo.

O Joao ja tocava guitarra no Confessional com o Tom, que por sua vez, ja havia tocado bateria nas bandas Gutierrez, Bohsco e Sensorial. Enquanto isso, do outro lado da cidade, o Thi tocava baixo na Furious Worship, uma banda que ainda existe. A Lu ja compunha e fazia algumas gravacoes voz e violao, que so os amigos ouviam. Um desses amigos conhecia o Joao, e o Joao, que agora conhecia todos, fez as vezes da casa e apresentou todo o pessoal. Alguns dias depois, conforme o combinado, os quatro estavam dentro de um estudio, tocando sem cerimonia.

Uma banda com data e hora marcada pra comecar, faz a gente pensar sobre o objetivo e o valor que damos a tudo isso. Em outras palavras, nossa intencao nao e tocar por tocar. Nos tocamos porque amamos fazer isso. Nos tocamos porque temos historias pra contar, questionamentos e certezas que queremos gritar em alto e bom som. Dividir essas experiencias com o publico tem dado a cada musica um significado especial. E o proposito disso tudo, e que elas nao fiquem apenas entre quatro pessoas ou quatro paredes. O sentimento e espalhar a mensagem. A atitude, e Go!

The Band Madalena, Go! Started in the beginning of 2009, as a few bands do: on purpose. Perhaps because the four members had already passed by a few other bands and got to know what they really wanted to do. They just even needed to meet each other and put in practice, with more focus, what they had learned so far.

Joao has already played the guitar in a band called Confessional, with Tom, which by the way had already played the drums in the bands Gutierrez, Bohsco and Sensorial. At the same time, on the other edge of the city, Thi playerd the Bass in The Furious Worship band, a still alive band. Lu had already written some songs and recorded them only in acoustic guitar and voice, and only some friends got to listen to them. One of those friends knew Joao, and Joao, that knew everybody, introduced the guys. Some days later, as combined, the four members were inside a studio, playing with no problems.

A band programmed to start, makes us think about the goals and the values of all of this. In other words, our intention is not to play only for playing. We play because we love doing it. We play because we have stories to tell, questions and answers to shout aloud to the world. Sharing all of these experiences with the public has given each song a different meaning. The purpose of all of It is not to stay inside only four walls or four guys. The feeling is to spread wide this message. The attitude is to Go!
