Formed in 1998 playing an explosive harcore/metal influenced by bands like: THE ALMIGHTY DRI,SUICIDAL TENDENCIES,DEAD KENNEDYS AND EXTREME NOISE TERROR.Macakongs 2099 has already established its space in the nationals underground scene.with lyrics talking about the everyday life,politicsand society in general.the band has already released 3 albuns,1 dvd and a demo-tape all of them released by bass players phu record label SILVIA MUSIC.the band has also participated in several compilations thorought the world and has 4 videoclps(evil elvis,mac maldade,mundo adversario and sem mancada) and the fifth one is about to come out.

The band is not only known in its hometown Brasilia.The band has already played in SO PAULO,CURITIBA,GOINIA,NATAL FORTALEZA,RECIFE,MACEI,ARACAJU,PALMAS and this semester of 2007 is getting ready and set to strike more cities.

In 2001 macakongs 2099 celebrated its 3rd anniversary and 70th concert on Poro do rocks main stage where bands like Pavilo 9 and Ratos de Poro played as well onthe same night for an estimated public of over 70 thousand people .Being considered one of the best shows by the local press getting a highlight by folha de so paulo.another event of great success was the 8th goinia noise festival another big underground music festival in Brazil.The band also played in festivals like Braslia FESTROCK and SKOL ROCK this one the band was ranked 2nd in the general ranking and apperead on tv culturas MUSIKAOS.

For the year of 2007 the band is going to release its 4th album TROPICALIA.There was no lead singer in the band during the recording sessions so the band invited a few very special people to lend their voices and hatred to the albumlike: X(former cambio negro),GOG,Tlio(DxFxC),GEPETO(AO DIRETA),DIGO(RAIMUNDOS)AND MANY OTHERS.

Macakongs has established its new formation for 2 years now its current line up is: Phu (bass),Fabricius(guitar),Fredvan(drums), Traidor(vocals)and Robson (guitar) who are working on the 5TH ALBUM and the way things are going it should be the most aggresive album so far.
