Los Harakiris are an instrumental surf trio, created by veteran members of the Spanish music scene. For some time, Spain witnessed the reign of two instrumental surf bands which shared the limelight: Los Coronas and Los Nitros. Well, Carlos del Amo was the star guitarist and acclaimed songwriter in Los Nitros.

Los Harakiris emerged from an idea Carlos had, born from sheer necessity of the soul to reach back into the instrumental sounds which he had parked to one side whilst concentrating on his former band Electric Playboys and the current We Are Balboa. He longed for the sharp edged guitar sounds of Lonnie Mack, Brian Setzer, Dick Dale, the dreamy melodies in Sergio Leones film soundtracks and the rocknroll rhythms snatched from a 50s High School Prom party !!!

Carlos quickly called his friends Willy Vijande (Ilegales) and David Leandro (Paul Collins, Bummer), who both answered his surfin call without a moments hesitation and created this trio which sound pretty close to what youd get from sticking The Ventures melodies, Morricones western atmospheres and the elegance of the Rat Pack in a blender and switched it on to full speed.

Los Harakiris set list include a good chunk of Carlos signature tunes, such as Lonely Citizen, Wakizachis Love or Plastic Farm, as well as whole bunch of covers of their favourite bands.

They define their sound as Instrumental RocknRoll, but in the end theyd rather you decide for yourself...

Los Harakiris es un trio de surf instrumental, formado por miembros experimentados del panorama musical espanol. Hace ya tiempo, en Espana existian 2 grupos de surf instrumental
que cortaban la pana, Los Coronas y Los Nitros, bueno pues Carlos del Amo era el guitarrista
y compositor de Los Nitros.

Los Harakiris surgen de la idea de retomar el sonido instrumental, que Carlos habia dejado de lado
en sus posteriores grupos ( Electric Playboys y We Are Balboa ) ese sonido instrumental que va desde las guitarras afiladas de Lonnie Mack, Brian Setzer, Dick Dale y las bandas sonoras de Sergio Leone, a los ritmos mas rockanroleros de una fiesta de fin de curso en un High School de los 50's !!!

Carlos habla con sus amigos Willy Vijande (Ilegales) y David Leandro (Paul Collins, Bummer)
y se forma este trio que es como si metieras en una batidora, las melodias de los Ventures, los ambientes western de Morricone y la elegancia del Rat Pack.

El repertorio de Los Harakiris incluye desde canciones propias de Carlos,
como Lonely Citizen, Space Samurai, Wakizachi's Love o Plastic Farm , a versiones de sus grupos favoritos.

Ellos definen su sonido como Rock'n'Roll Instrumental, pero prefieren que seas tu quien decida como suenan...
