Forged in late 2003, LoneStar PornStar is a groove oriented, funk based, alternative hard rock band from Houston, Texas. The band was voted "Best Alt. Rock Band" at the 2005 Houston Press Music Awards.

Their music has been described as "funk driven, ass-shakin', gangsta'-style, hard rock, homegrown in Texas." - John Lomax of the Houston Press.

The Porn Stars have received many reviews from The Houston Chronicle, The Houston Press, SugarBuzz Magazine, & The Music News. "Dazzling audiences with flashy style and solid stage presence, this band knows what a live show is all about."- Kevin Wildman of the Music News.

Along with a cult like following the band has played over one hundred shows and can usually be seen playing live 4 to 6 times a month. LSPS has played for as many as 3000 people at one time and over twenty five different live music venues.

The band has not only been creating a craze across the Bayou City but have also played all over Texas and parts of Louisiana and California. The band recently performed live at The Gig and The Cat Club on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, California.

During the summer of 2004, the band had the pleasure of working with Odyssee Pictures and DBW Entertainment and were filmed performing live on set for a small part in an upcoming independent horror film titled "Necrophobia". Scheduled for release in the Fall of 2006.

LoneStar PornStar has received generous airtime and promotion from FM 103.7 KIOL, FM 94.5 KTBX (Clear Channel station), FM 90.1 KPFT, FM 89.7 KACC, and have recently been added to regular rotation on Channel 52 and several other XM satelite radio stations.

The band has sold more than two thousand copies of their self titled E.P. released in November of 2004.

This five song CD is available for purchase on-line and at Sound Revolution Record Store (Est. 1977) in Houston, TX. - "LoneStar PornStar has sold more single CD's in this store than any other indie. band since the Fondue Monks back in the early 90's."- Michelle Johnson (store manager).

LSPS is currently recording a full length album at Skull Sessions Studios in Katy, Texas. The project will include 16 to 17 new original tracks. The CD will be released in July 2006 and followed by a Texas Tour and another trip to Los Angeles.

The Cd Release Party will be held at Fitzgeralds in Houston, Texas on July 8th and at least six hundred people are scheduled to attend.

The band's drummer is endoursed by Chop Shop Custom Drums which is owned and operated by Rikki Rocket of the famous 80's band Poison.

Lonestar Pornstar is currently being pursued by Halo Custom Guitars, Sam Ash Music Stores, and several other sponsors.

Lonestar Pornstar IS currently seeking national representation and a solid manager and/or management company that can help the band reach new markets, attract attention from record labels, seek out other radio stations around the globe that will air their music, schedule and plan a national and/or european tour, provide distribution deals, and opportunities for the band to open for national artists.
