Lockstepdown was formed in August of 2005 by Steven Cockayne and former member Mick Black. Having gone through numerous lineup changes since then to refine their style and energy into an agressive blend of; emo, hardcore punk, pop rock and post-hardcore screamo, they are now described by their fans as a band not to be missed.

Bassist Steven Cockayne brings an element of lyrical poetry and melodical rhythm to the band's persona, which is perfectly complimented by the agressive metal guitar riffs and harmonically progressive sound brought by lead guitarist Tom Cruz, and the flawless rhythmical delivery drummer Nickoli Herndon produces time after time.

In August of 2006, Lockstepdown was joined by guitarist and Singer/Songwriter David Harrison to complete their lineup.

Lockstepdown released their first 4-song self-titled EP in November of 2006, and is currently working on playing shows in their surrounding area while they work on new material for their first full-length album, expected in 2007.
