I want to hear from your band! I have undertaken a search, on behalf of Traz Productions, to find music and bands who would be willing to enter an agreement to allow us to use their music in our web series The Life And Deaths Of Cooter Brown.

I'm looking for any kind of music, from rap to classical, country to heavy metal, gospel to gothic, and everything in between. If you and your band are interested in having your music considered, please send me a friends request or a message!

I also have a MySpace page that can be found here.

In the mean time, check out LDCB at youdontknow.net!

By the way! If I've added you to my favorites, there is a good chance I'm going to be contacting you in the near future to try to arrange a music sharing agreement between your band and Traz Productions, so keep an eye on your email box!

Episode 9: "First and Last"

Traz Productions and youdontknow.net (YDK) would like to announce the ninth installment of the web series The Life and Deaths of Cooter Brown (LDCB)!

LDCB tells the story of the professional wrestler wannabe and intelligence-challenged Cooter Brown. Somehow, he finds himself at the center of a twistedly complicated plot to end his life. Targeted by his own best friend, the deadly hit man known as Joe Killa, and the elusive Mr. Mister, Cooter will have to face these obstacles and more if he hopes to get to the bottom of it all. Though the bigger question may be: What does any of this have to do with the Moonshine Massacre and the mysterious deaths of over thirty people?! Or perhaps even the bigger question: Will Cooter even be smart enough to learn the truth before whoever is trying to kill him finally succeeds?

This fictional series was begun in November 2006 by Ben Hartsburg, The Director. Originally a revision of a college class project, LDCB has taken on a life of it's own. Ben enlists the acting talents of several friends and family members, with very enjoyable results! Full of comedy and drama, LDCB provides something for everyone.

In Episode Nine: "First and Last", we learn more about the fledgling hit man, Boyd Valentine, who is also Cooter's best friend. This episode is also the first in the series to feature a musical score, courtesy of the great folks at Twenty Twelve Records. The song "Symphony of my Life" by 2012 is woven throughout the series, adding to the suspense with it's entrancing sound.

You can check out this newest episode at the YDK - LDCB website, http://youdontknow.net/cooterbrown/. To here more of the amazing creations of 2012, check out their PureVolume site at http://www.purevolume.com/2012.

The tenth episode of the series will be released sometime in the summer, wrapping up the first season of LDCB. But the series is far from over! Be sure to stay tuned with YDK for that episode, as well as the premier of season two, scheduled to begin sometime in the fall.

Last but not least, YDK is searching for local talent to be featured in future episodes of LDCB (as well as added to episodes which have already been released). If you or your band would like to contribute music to be featured in the movies, email x.l.i.i@hotmail.com.

2012 - Symphony of my Life!!!!!

In preparation for YDK's first episode to have "real" music in it (no offense ONR), I would like to direct everyone's attention to the awesome band 2012. Their song Symphony of my Life will be featured in Episode 9 of The Life and Deaths of Cooter Brown.

On 2012 (taken from their PureVolume page):
Hi my name is Lewis Hurrell, and i'm the only member of 2012, i do all the writing, playing, recording and producing. I work the best when i'm by myself , it gives me the opportunity to really sink into my music. I love everything about what I do and I am extremely thankful to be able to share my love with the world.

You can hear samples of 2012's music here (on PureVolume) and here (on MySpace). If you like what you hear, their music is avaliable for purchase through CDBaby, or purchased for download through iTunes.

2012

Please check out this very awesome band and enjoy! Last but not least, very big thanks to Mr. Steve Whitaker and Mr. Lewis Hurrell who made this agreement happen! You don't know how much it means to us!

The Hunt...

In cooperation with YouDontKnow.net, I am officially announcing the start of the YDK New Music Search! Here's the details.

YDK is an undertaking of several friends of mine from high school. While YDK has several different concepts, one of them is The Life and Deaths of Cooter Brown (LDCB). "The Life and Deaths of Cooter Brown follows the life of Cooter, an oblivious yet friendly guy. Some how, Cooter has managed to anger the wrong people, and now they are out to get him. But how does all that lead back to the Moonshine Massacre?"

LDCB is a web series, written, directed, and acted by locals in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, area. Done on a shoe-string (or less) budget, it's hard to get all we want into each episode. None the less, we do our best to produce the best and most enjoyable product we can. That said, we can't afford licensing fees for music. That's where this music search comes in.

We know there are numerous great unsigned bands out there just waiting to be discovered. PureVolume is a great place for many of them to be found. So, usinig PureVolume as our search platform, we are seeking them out! We would like to get samples of music from every genre, rock, rap, classical, country, metal, blues, jazz - you name it, we want to hear it!

Our idea is simple. We will get music we can use with the artists permission with out any fees, and the bands who are selected to be featured on our webisodes will get a bit of free advertisement (both as they will be mentioned in the ending credits as well as a banner/link on the LDCB website). It's a win/win situation for everyone!

So, if you are interested in being considered, please send a friends list request to me and/or a message. You can also email me at x.l.i.i (at) hotmail (dot) com.

I look forward to your submissions! And please check out LDCB and the other fun features of YDK at http://youdontknow.net!
